Bride Costume Wigs

Everyone knows that your crowning glory is your hair.  But when it’s Halloween and you’re wearing a scary bride costume, I think you’ll prefer to wear a really outrageous wig rather than dye and mess up your own hair.

Depending on which costume you’re chosen, there are some really cool wigs to choose from.  Some wigs are meant to match certain costumes – like the Tim Burton Corpse Bride - is a lovely shade of pale blue with a sad and lovely wig to match.  She’s even got the dead black roses in her bouquet.

The Bride Of Frankenstein on the other hand, has a totally fabulous tower of hair.  I have no idea how you’re going to fit through the doorway at the parties you’re going to, but measure your height clearance just so you’ll know if you have to get on your hands and knees to crawl through!

Especially if you’re a drag queen!  What an amazing, imposing sight you will be.

Some dead brides are more generic and just a toussled mess of graying or black hair will be fine.  You’re probably going to cover most of it with a veil anyway.  But it’s just cool to have a great wig to complete your costume.  You’ll look professional and totally put together.  It can make the difference between first prize and just an unknown wannabe standing in the back.

Even the macabre bridal veil needs to go with the total look of the costume.  The long pale tattered on of the Corpse Bride matches the ethereal beauty of that delicate girl.  Other costumes look great with a black veil trimmed with black roses, or a shredded black and gray veil over a wild mane of frizzy gray hair.  More sophisticated decaying damsels prefer the dazzling black curls of their lost youth.
